Do you ever get the urge to pack up your belongings, and escape the hustle and bustle of life for a while? This striking tree house with panoramic fjord views might be the place to do it.

Located in Sandane, Norway, you can glamp in this tiny house that overlooks the country’s west coast. And “tree house” isn’t just a figure of speech: this structure is actually perched in the treetops, making guests fully immersed in the natural environment.

The Glamping Hub rental is furnished with a double-size bed and a floor mattress to comfortably fit up to three guests. There is a hammock available for lounging, plus two armchairs and a small table that creates a sitting area in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The space is complete with a small kitchen area that has basic appliances to make simple meals during your stay. There is also a separate bathroom complete with a toilet and sink, which is equipped with linens, towels, and toiletries provided by the host.

Since it’s located at the end of the Gloppefjorden, visitors have easy access to the area’s many outdoors activities—from bird watching to canoeing and biking, depending on the season. The Jostedalsbreen National Park is located nearby, a beautiful park to see that is half covered by the Jostedalsbreen glacier.

Additionally, the glamping grounds is not far from Sogn og Fjordane, which is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Urnes Stave Church and the Nærøyfjord.

To put it simply, this tree house projects a minimalist’s approach to living and, most importantly, disconnecting. Yes, there is a laptop-friendly space if you must say hello to the outside world, but seriously think about skipping that part.
