I think it’s fair to say that I think about tile a bit more than the average person. I also get very excited about tile trends, and one of my favorite recent developments in the world of tile is a new look that’s actually quite old: rectangular tiles laid in a herringbone pattern. I can’t get enough of it, especially in the bathroom.

It’s a look that recalls the chevron and herringbone floors in storied old Paris apartments, but still feels new and fresh. The “plaid” tub tile is probably the first thing that will catch your eye in this bathroom by Caitlin Wilson — but the herringbone floor tile is the perfect complement, adding a classic touch to the bathroom.
