From Neena:

I had been thinking about stenciling our veranda floor for the past three years but never got around to doing it till now. I didn’t want to spend much money on it so I first painted the floor with some old leftover garage door white paint and the cut 2 very simple stencil design on normal white paper. Divided the floor to square grids and drew inside the stencil using a normal ball point pen. Bought a red sample size Behr paint from Home Depot in Lipstick Red for a few bucks and used that to paint the door and the floor using a small paint brush. I thought if the homemade stencil doesn’t work I could always paint over it. I also spray painted our old rocking chair with Rustoleum Sunburst Yellow spray paint. It took me only about 5-6 hours but spread over quite a few days since I could do this only during my 2-year-old’s nap time. Total amount spent was under 15$!

Thank you Neena!
