From Letisha:

Boy Oh! Boy! Was this a fun project. The best part is I got to cut a table in half. I found a pretty cool coffee table at my local thrift store for $35. I knew it had the perfect line for the console table I wanted to build.

This project really can be summed up in 5 steps.

1-Measure
2- Cut
3- Assemble
4- Sand
5-Paint

I simply cut the coffee table in half, stacked each half on top of each other. I used what was the bottom support to the coffee table as my back legs to the console table. I cut those to be the proper height. After having all the pieces cut it was time to assemble. Most of this was done with dowels, screws and glue. Then I sanded it all just lightly to prepare it to be painted. The last step really made the biggest transformation. I used a special masking process to create a gold inlay look and gold dipped legs. SO PRETTY!
