In their new book, Crystal Muse: Everyday Rituals to Tune Into the Real You, Heather Askinosie and Timmi Jandro of Energy Muse offer up a variety of rituals to help you root, restore and revive. And while most of the book focuses on crystal rituals, they do include a quick primer on how to make sure your bedroom isn’t killing your love vibes.

If you’re looking for more romance in your life, you should be mindful of these feng shui “love killers” in your life. They note that this might not apply to all people, but if you’re feeling like your game is off, check out your space to see if you’re doing any of the following.

Keeping dead plants at your door.

Always throw out your dead plants ASAP, but especially don’t leave them at your door. They’re unwelcoming to any visitors.

Decorate your bedroom with artwork featuring one person.

“A bedroom filled with artwork showing only one person usually results in a single person alone at night,” they write. Pick up a few pieces that have two people (or more if that’s what you’re into) in them to add some coupled up energy to your space.

A mirror that reflects the bed.

Creating a second image of the bed could invite in an unwanted party, either in the form of infidelity or general meddling. If you can’t move the mirror, cover it with a cloth.
