Karen and Guy designed it but the kids have also added their own personality to the space; you can see their unique interests represented in their rooms. Their daughter's room is inspired by her love for all things creative from art to music. In definite contrast is their son's room, packed with figurines, animal posters, and a top bunk filled with stuffed animals.

More

As my daughter, Ursula, has turned five, her imaginative play has suddenly all centered on the home and making it her own. She wanted a play kitchen for Christmas, she has been taking care of her doll by giving her a bed and a clothing shelf in her room, AND she's become super great at cooking and helping to set and clear the table. More

But cartographer Jeffrey Ambroziak doesn't make your run of the mill 3D maps. Using the latest satellite data and a patented algorithm he developed, Ambroziak creates photo realistic 3D maps, which can be uniquely appreciated from any perspective, no matter what angle or distance the map is being viewed. Just the sort of wall popping art for a young aspiring astronaut. More

Elmo vs. Grover: My Ambiguous Disdain for Licensed Character Toys

As a self-described toy snob, of course, I hate them. Toys are supposed to be what childhood memories are made of, not marketing propaganda for a mega brand that is already plastered all over your television, kids' clothes, and food. But, oh wait, I love Charlie and Lola, and Huckle and Lowly and plenty of other characters and would barely hesitate to buy a toy with their image. Hmmmnnnn...a chink in my toy snob armor?

Extra storage is a most welcome element as well. So we think these charming animal hooks should be a perfect addition to almost any youngster's room. More
